Hollywood’s teenage son hasn’t spoken to him for two years

PAUL HOLLYWOOD has been estranged from his son for almost two years, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The teenager was so upset by his father’s decision to end his marriage to wife Alexandra so he could set up home with barmaid Summer Monteys-Fullam that they have not seen or spoken to each other since.

It is understood that Joshua, 17, has ignored text messages and presents from The Great British Bake Off presenter.

News of the rift comes days after Ms Monteys- Fullam ditched the 53-year-old chef when he demanded she sign a non-disclosure agreement to prevent her revealing details of their relationship.

The 24-year-old has moved out of the £1.2 million love nest in Kent that the TV star bought earlier this year and they have since traded insults on social media.

Last night, she announced on Instagram that she planned to sue her former lover because of ‘highly defamatory statements Paul has made about me online since our break-up’. A spokesman for Alexandra, who is still negotiating a divorce deal with Hollywood, said: ‘ Paul hasn’t seen his son since November 2017 and the split has been deeply distressing to him. Paul is aware of his son’s feelings on the matter.

‘Alex would never normally comment, but on this occasion it is important that the truth is known and that Josh is protected.

‘Josh has behaved admirably over the past two years and has only ever made Alex proud during very difficult times with all the newspaper articles about his father.’

A spokeswoman for Hollywood, who has been a judge on the hit Channel 4 baking show since it launched on the BBC in 2010, said he did not wish to comment.

Hollywood met Alexandra in Cyprus in the late 1990s when he worked at a five-star hotel and she was a scuba diving instructor. They married on the island but separated in 2013 after his affair with Marcela Valladolid, his co-host on The American Baking Competition.

After he and Alexandra were reconciled, Hollywood said: ‘I’m loving being with my family again. They are everything to me. I’m lucky to have this chance.’

However, he fell for Ms MonteysFullam after they met at a pub close to the £2.4 million family home in Wingham, Kent, where Alexandra and Josh still live – sparking the rift with his son.

A source close to the TV presenter said: ‘Josh doesn’t want to talk to him, he is fully on his mother’s side. They haven’t seen one another since Paul started dating Summer.

‘Paul has sent presents, cards, texts, but Josh hasn’t been impressed by it. He has been utterly loyal to his mother.’ The TV star, said to be worth £10 million, has been in a war of words with Ms Monteys-Fullam since they split.

On Monday, he launched a thinly veiled Instagram attack on her for ‘selling stories and continuously courting the paps [paparazzi]’.

His furious ex-lover denied those claims and hit back saying she felt ‘betrayed by the NDA’ and that Hollywood ‘would be furious and shout at me if I got pictured’.
