Candy kids’ £1m playhouse
MOST parents send the kids to stay with grandparents during the summer holidays but property tycoon Christian Candy has a more novel – if expensive – method for keeping them occupied.
Christian and his wife Emily (left) have bought their brood – a pair of sixyear-old twins, a four-yearold and a two-year-old – a £1.2 million house in Windsor to play with.
‘We wanted a project for the kids to get involved in so they understand what Daddy does for a living,’ Emily t ells me. ‘ They designed the garden together and they come with me most days, helping with garden clearance and that sort of thing for pocket money.
‘It’s a charming threebedroom house which backs on to Windsor Castle which we bought for under the asking price.’
Certainly makes a change from pony camp.
