Turner prize after a cup double

HAYLEY TURNER stole the show at the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup for the second year running, as two winners and a second saw her defend her title as the event’s leading rider. The 36-year-old captained the ‘Girls’ team that finished level with Europe, behind winners the Rest of the World. But Turner still became the first jockey to claim the Silver Saddle in successive years, with 40 points. ‘I can’t believe it. I’d been trying to win the Silver Saddle for 12 years until last year,’ said Turner, who won on John Best’s 13-2 chance Eddystone Rock and Mark Johnston’s 4-1 favourite, Sapa Inca.
