PHIL PARKINSON (right) made an impassione­d plea to would-be Bolton owner Laurence Bassini to ‘leave this great club alone’ after the youngest team in the club’s history — average age 19 — earned a draw. ‘It has gone on for too long,’ said Parkinson. ‘It can’t be this week, next week, it’s got to be now. Mr Bassini can you just leave this great club alone and let everyone get on with helping rebuild this club back again. I can’t fathom it out.’

LYNDEN GOOCH earned Sunderland a point after Luke Garbutt had given Ipswich the lead. Ipswich boss Paul Lambert bemoaned ‘a terrible mistake’ by his skipper Luke Chambers which led to the goal.

TOM DAVIES produced a late goalline clearance to deny Jack Grimmer and preserve a point for Bristol Rovers. Graham Coughlan felt his Rovers team had ‘the fire, but not the ice.’

PROMOTED Lincoln made it two wins from two thanks to an owngoal by Shaun MacDonald and a second from Harry Anderson. The own-goal came when MacDonald turned new signing Tyler Walker’s cross into his own net.

SUBSTITUTE Paddy Madden sparked Fleetwood’s comeback win. He came off the bench to cancel out Kwesi Appiah’s opener before Josh Morris’s cross went in to win it.

KIERAN SADLIER’S header two minutes into injury time earned Doncaster a point. Aaron Morley had put Rochdale in front when his curling effort bamboozled Doncaster keeper Ian Lawlor and flew in.

SOUTHEND 1 BLACKPOOL 3

THREE first-half goals saw Blackpool win despite having James Husband sent off. A Harry Lennon own-goal and two from Nathan Delfouneso won it. Simon Cox replied.

GILLINGHAM 1 BURTON 2

NATHAN BROADHEAD scored the first senior goals of his career on his full league debut as Burton came from behind to win at Gillingham. The home side had taken an early lead through Malian midfielder Ousse Cisse.

BEN CLOSE scored a screamer for the second time in less than a week when he blasted a volley into the top corner from 30 yards. Tom Naylor sealed the points.

MK DONS 1 SHREWSBURY 0

RHYS HEALEY scored a lastminute winner for MK Dons as Paul Tisdale’s side got off to a winning start. It was their first game of the season following their opening day postponeme­nt at Bury.

PETERBOROU­GH boss Darren Ferguson bemoaned another poor show after a second defeat, saying: ‘We keep giving ourselves a mountain to climb.’ Cameron Brannagan scored.
