Jesus ‘goal’ ruled offside

CITY think they have gone 3-0 up courtesy of a trademark goal of slick passing and off-the-ball runs.

Raheem Sterling believes he has timed his run perfectly to collect David Silva’s inch-perfect ball before the England man squares for Gabriel Jesus to find the net.

Because it’s a goal, it’s automatically checked and VAR determines that Sterling, when Silva plays him through, is offisde — by the tiniest of margins.
