CARETAKER Bolton manager Jimmy Phillips fears fans are poised to turn their backs on the club after a 5-0 humbling by Ipswich in front of a crowd of 5,454, their lowest for 27 years. Bolton, who saw manager Phil Parkinson resign last week amid an ongoing takeover saga, were forced to field four 17-year-olds. With his side on minus 11 points after going into administration, Phillips said: ‘Everyone wants to see new owners. The fans have backed us to the hilt, but how long will they continue to watch this?’
