BOLTON 1 MK DONS 0

DARYL MURPHY (right) missed a penalty but made amends in injury time to secure victory for Bolton against 10-man MK Dons and move them onto a positive points total.

MK Dons played for 25 minutes with a one-man deficit after George Williams saw red.

‘Had we not won there would have been a little bit of frustration,’ said Bolton manager Keith Hill, whose side were deducted 12 points ahead of the season for going into administration. ‘The feeling in the changing rooms is amazing.’ ROTHERHAM 1 ACCRINGTON 0

ROTHERHAM manager Paul Warne praised his side for winning ugly. Warne said: ‘I think we will play a lot better than that and lose, so I’m not complaining. We were good and caused them problems.’

The home side took the lead after 30 minutes when on-loan frontman Carlton Morris rose above the Accrington defence to power in Ben Wiles’s free-kick.

Rotherham’s Chiedozie Ogbene was given his marching orders in the 82nd minute after receiving a second yellow card.

Accrington manager John Coleman said: ‘We are more than matching teams.’

BLACKPOOL 2 WIMBLEDON 0

TOP scorer Armand Gnanduillet (right) hit a double to secure back-to-back league wins for Blackpool.

‘It was an important victory for us,’ said manager Simon Grayson.

‘We knew that it was going to be a tough day because of the results that they’ve had recently.’

Meanwhile, Glyn Hodges felt lapses in concentration cost his Wimbledon side.

‘I’m disappointed and angry. We caused our own downfall with unforced errors,’ said Hodges, whose side are without a win in five games.

GILLINGHAM 1 LINCOLN 0

MIKAEL MANDRON’S first-half goal was enough for Gillingham to see off out-of-form Lincoln.

And embarrassed manager Michael Appleton tore into his Lincoln players after their ‘rubbish’ performance.

‘That’s the worst performance from any team I’ve ever managed by a mile,’ he said. ‘I was embarrassed. I apologise to everybody who came down to the game.’

Gillingham boss Steve Evans, meanwhile, was left beaming. ‘If you had to pick a word to describe our performance it would be relentless.’

COVENTRY 2 ROCHDALE 1

LIAM WALSH’S stunning solo effort and a strike from Jordan Shipley (right) was enough to give Coventry all three points. Skipper Ian Henderson had earlier given the visitors the lead.

After the game, Coventry manager Mark Robins hailed Walsh’s wonder goal.

‘That goal will live long in the memory of the Coventry supporters who were here and the ones who see it on TV,’ he said.

Rochdale manager Brian Barry-Murphy added: ‘I was very pleased with a lot of aspects.’
