Carrie keeps mum about her hideout

- By Katie Hind

BORIS JOHNSON’S pregnant fiancee Carrie Symonds was last ni ght s el f - i s ol at i ng wi t h her beloved dog Dilyn away from the suffering Prime Minister.

With Miss Symonds expecting her baby this summer, Downing Street would not be drawn on her location as she seeks to shield herself from the coronavirus.

However, it is believed that she is not staying at her mother’s S o u t h - We s t London home because she is also in a vulnerable group, as she is over 70.

The Mail on Sunday also understands t hat Miss Symonds is unlikely to be at the PM’s official grace- and- favour retreat Chequers, probably because of the precedent that the 16th Century Buckinghamshire mansion is used only when the Prime Minister is in residence. Mr Johnson is currently holed up in the couple’s flat about No 11 Downing Street, which Ms Symonds is understood to have left last week.

No 10 refused to confirm or deny whether Miss Symonds was at the £ 1.3 million home she and Mr Johnson bought together last summer before the pair moved into the famous Westminster address.

On Friday, Miss Symonds, who t urned 32 earlier t his month, posted a picture online of herself snuggling up to the couple’s terrier rescue dog Dilyn alongside the caption: ‘Self-isolating isn’t so bad with this one.’

The Prime Minister’s spokesman confirmed on Friday that Mr Johnson would be self- isolating for seven days, which is the rule if someone is living alone, suggesting Miss Symonds had already left the building for her coronavirus hideout. No 10 refused to be drawn into whether Miss Symonds had been tested for the illness.
