Writer-director Bill Forsyth’s follow-up to Gregory’s Girl is equally as delightful. It’s the whimsical tale of US oil company executive Mac (Peter Riegert, above), who arrives in a remote area of Scotland intent on buying the land needed to build a new refinery. But the area’s eccentric residents have an unexpected impact on him.
