FRANCES TIAFOE has tested positive for Covid-19 while playing at the All-American Team Cup in Georgia, the first event in the US to allow fans to attend since the lockdown.

Tiafoe was forced to take a 15-minute medical timeout during his match on Friday, before defeating Sam Querrey 6-4, 7-6. He confirmed his withdrawal from the tournament yesterday.

Novak Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki all caught the virus while playing in Belgrade last month.
