NOAH CHILVERS scored his first senior goal for Colchester in their draw against Barrow. Michael Jones levelled for the hosts, whose manager David Dunn said: ‘The lads didn’t drop their heads.’

SCUNTHORPE boss Neil Cox was handed his first win since his return courtesy of Jordan Hallam’s blistering first-half finish. Cox said: ‘I’m really proud of the boys.’

STRIKER Tristan Abrahams scored a brace as in-form Newport triumphed at winless Bolton. The visitors’ manager Michael Flynn said: ‘We could have scored six or seven.’

MIKE JACKSON (right) bemoaned the offside decision that cost his Tranmere side a winner. James Vaughan saw a goal disallowed in the closing stages, with the assistant referee raising his flag. ‘I’ve just seen it back and it’s not offside,’ Jackson complained afterwards.

SALFORD were indebted to goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky as they earned a point against Forest Green. ‘The tone was set from the first minute with an unbelievab­le save,’ Rovers boss Mark Cooper said.

LEE NOVAK scored twice as Bradford came from behind to beat Stevenage and secure their first win of the season. Elliott List scored the opener for the visitors.

The Port Vale boss said: ‘It was a captain’s performanc­e like at Exeter, he was immense today. I can’t remember him putting a foot wrong.’

Town boss Simon Weaver also took the positives.

EXETER came from behind to win thanks to an own goal from Farrend Rawson and Josh Key’s first ever EFL goal. Rollin Menayese gave the hosts the lead in the first half.
