Virus cash is easy target

Your report last week about the criminals stealing millions in coronavirus relief handouts left me with a mix of emotions: anger, incredulity, hopelessness and despair. If the Government didn’t even consider that it was likely to be abused, then I give up.

Where are the checks before money is given out? Is it that the bureaucratic system of government in this country cannot be bothered as officials receive 100 per cent of their salaries, irrespective of performance?
