Top-notch drama from NYC adland
When people talk about the ‘Golden Age’ of TV drama, Mad Men is always in the top tier. Created by Matthew Weiner, it’s about the employees (such as office manager Joan Holloway – Christina Hendricks, left) of advertising agency Sterling Cooper from 1960 to 1970. Although creative director Don Draper (Jon Hamm) is, ostensibly, the main character, it is Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss), rising from secretary to creative powerhouse, who provides the most compelling narrative arc.
