HOW THE VACCINE WORKS
The Pfizer jab is a ‘messenger RNA’ (mRNA) vaccine, invented by scientists using the genetic sequence of the SARS-Cov-2 virus. They created short strips of a synthetic molecule which give cells instructions to make the unique ‘spike’ protein found on the virus’s surface. The mRNA strips, packaged in minuscule fat droplets, instruct our bodies’ cells to manufacture the protein - triggering an immune response.
