Baby boy found dead in garden

POLICE are urgently appealing for information after a newborn baby was found dead in a garden yesterday.

Officers were called at 8.50am after a passer-by found the boy at Victoria Quadrant in Weston-super-Mare.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary said it was treating the death as unexplained.

A spokesman from North Somerset Children’s Services said in an appeal to the mother: ‘We have specially trained professionals who can support you.’
