English vote

-

Regarding last week’s Prize Letter, while I agree with the underlying principle that an MP in the UK Government should not abstain in votes in the House of Commons, MPs representing any of the devolved parts of the UK, no matter which political party they belong to, should not vote on matters that apply only to England. Therefore, SNP MPs should have abstained in the vote on the tier system as this was a vote for the system to be applied to England alone and not any other part of the UK.
