A Royal tour to warm our hearts
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s recent UK tour was such a great idea.
It raised morale and spirits immensely, just like the visits by the King and Queen to bomb-affected areas during the Second World War.
The fact that the Royals too have actually been affected by the pandemic, with both Prince William and the Prince of Wales contracting coronavirus, will only have warmed the public to them even more.

As an occupational therapist, I have witnessed visits by royalty. While Princess Anne was a delight, the effort of the visit was both costly and time-consuming. And this was long before Covid-19, so I can only imagine the logistical nightmare of ensuring that William and Kate were kept safe during their wellintended trip.

We’re advised not to travel outside our local authority area in order to try to stop the spread of Covid-19. So how can Kate and William get away with a three-day, 1,250-mile tour of the UK?
Tim Mickleburgh, Grimsby
What a wonderful way to thank the workers for all they do, especially in this challenging year. William and Kate are such an asset to the Royal Family and the country.
