Pogba’s time is up, says Neville

PAUL POGBA has no future at Old Trafford, says Gary Neville — who insists Manchester United must never have any more dealings with the Frenchman’s agent.

Neville, speaking after yesterday’s 0-0 draw, had been incensed when Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola had declared earlier in the week that the midfielder was unhappy at United and wanted out.

The timing of Raiola’s intervention, just hours before United’s Champions League defeat at Leipzig, drew criticism and sparked a war of words between the Italian and Neville. The former United full-back believes the bitter saga has gone on long enough and there can only be one outcome. ‘If he doesn’t want to be here you’ve got to find an exit for him,’ he said.

Neville and fellow Sky pundit Micah Richards exchanged different views on the Pogba situation after yesterday’s dire stalemate in the Manchester derby, with the ex-City man saying the £100million superstar needs ‘to be loved’.

But Neville countered: ‘He does not want to play for Man United any more. His agent, who is his best friend, told us categorically he does not want to be here any more.

‘The reason Paul Pogba gets more criticism is quite simply because he is the biggest signing, a world champ and there’s a large expectation around him. I can accept a player not playing well but his agent and best friend has tried to get him out of this football club for the last 15 months.’

Raiola also manages Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, another United target, and Richards argued the club may well have to negotiate with Pogba’s agent again if they want to make a move for the Norwegian.

But Neville said: ‘They can’t sign another player with that agent, enough is enough.’
