Actor, musician and d comedian Graham Fellows (right) is best known for his comedy creation John Shuttleworth. But in this two-part documentary, he’s stepping out of character to tell his own story.

In Christmas With Carrie Underwood (Radio 2, 7pm) the country music superstar plays a selection of her favourite festive songs, including tracks by Dolly Parton and John Legend, and performs a seasonal duet with her five-year-old son Isaiah.

A Festival Of Nine Lessons And Carols (Radio 4, 3pm) comes from the Chapel of King’s College, Cambridge. There’s no congregation, but there is a choir.
