How City beat the Southampton press
SOUTHAMPTON have become one of the best pressing sides in the Premier League under Ralph Hasenhuttl but Man City’s key to bypassing the Saints press was goalkeeper Ederson. Southampton were in a good position in the build-up to City’s winning goal. They had seven players inside the City half, organised and in a good shape. In one pass, Ederson cleared them all and exploited the space behind the Saints defence.
