NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE: TWELFTH NIGHT
If music be the food of love... play on!
Shakespeare’s 1602 comedy meets the very modern trend for gender fluidity in this, the National Theatre’s 2017 stage production. In it, the pompous Malvolio becomes Malvolia, played by Tamsin Greig. It’s a clever trick that only serves to chime with the play’s themes of mistaken identity and unrequited love. Also stars Doon Mackichan and Daniel Rigby. Sky/NOW TV, available now
