India players in Covid scare
FIVE Indian cricketers have been put in isolation after they were filmed dining out together in Melbourne.
Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw — all part of India’s Test squad playing Australia — will be kept apart from other players. Both teams are investigating whether Covid biosecurity rules have been breached.
Australia and India are level in the middle of a four-Test series. The third Test in Sydney starts on January 6.
Meanwhile, former India captain Sourav Ganguly, 48, is in hospital after suffering a mild heart attack.
