How they took on SAS

SON HEUNG-MIN and Harry Kane, the most devastating double act in the Premier League, were at it again yesterday.

Tottenham’s deadly duo were too hot for Leeds to handle, combining in the 43rd minute with Kane providing the cross for Son to beat Ilan Meslier (above).

That was the 13th time the two had combined for a top-flight goal this season, equalling the record set by Blackburn’s SAS — Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton — in 1994-95. And their record was set over 35 games; Kane and Son have matched them after just 16.

‘I have to say that Sonny and Harry are doing special things’ said their suitably impressed manager Jose Mourinho after Son had bagged his 100th goal for the club. ‘The second goal was great.’
