GOOD Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh is set to sign a lucrative new deal that will make her one of ITV’s most high-profile faces.

After her success on the last series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, bosses have been desperate to ensure that they don’t lose her when her contract ends next month.

So following negotiations with I TV bosses, she is expected to sign a deal said to be as being ‘as good as a golden handcuffs’ contract, allowing her to present various programmes across the channel and stand in more regularly for Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on GMB.

A source at the network revealed: ‘Ranvir is loved at ITV and by its viewers, she has everything that the channel needs to move forward.

‘ There are l ots of highprofile projects in the pipeline, too. The intention is that she will be one of the more used presenters. Nobody wants to lose her.’

Ms Singh, 43, is Political Editor of GMB, but one source said: ‘I don’t think you’ll be seeing her standing outside No10 in the early hours again, Ranvir is now a star.’ She became a household name on Strictly after making it to the semi-finals with Italian pro dancer Giovanni Pernice.

Last July, ITV pledged to create more opportunities for ethnic minority groups, and improve the diversity of presenters of its highest profile programmes.
