A day of specials to mark the fifth anniversary of the musician’s (right) death begins as Mark Radcliffe And d Stuart Maconie (7am) present a 1999 session, while Guy Garvey’s Finest Hour (2pm) features the host’s favourite Bowie tracks. In Bowie: Dancing Out In Space (8pm) Stuart Maconie is joined by arts and culture figures to pay homage to the star.

Sunday Feature: The Robots Are Us (Radio 3, 6.45pm) looks at the influence of Karel Capek’s futurist sci-fi drama R.U.R., which premiered in 1921.

Sarah Wooley’s Drama On 3: Peking Noir (Radio 3, 7.30pm) tells the story of a ballet-loving Russian refugee.
