The Pembrokeshire Murders: Catching The Gameshow Killer

ITV, 9pm Following on from the thriller series The Pembrokeshire Murders, this true-crime documentary features interviews with senior detective Steve Wilkins (right), played by Luke Evans in the drama, and his colleagues in the investigation that eventually put John Cooper behind bars.

Wilkins emphatically holds the attention with his plain-speaking account of the years-long process of police work that eventually led to Cooper’s conviction in 2011. The real-life Cooper (played by Keith Allen) emerges as a truly disturbing character, even if he cuts a curious figure in his TV appearance on the darts-based game show Bullseye, which proved crucial to the prosecution case.

We also learn how at least one other death in the Pembrokeshire area may still remain unsolved...
