SOME cheering news:
Tocilizumab, an arthritis drug, has been found to cut the risk of death for the sickest Covid patients by 24 per cent. Amazing. But I have one question: who dreams up the names for these medicines? This one sounds like a long-forgotten Egyptian pharaoh. ‘All hail the mighty Tocilizumab, king of kings, conqueror of worlds, slayer of viruses.’ Appropriately biblical-sounding, don’t you think?
