MATT HANCOCK was spotted in a park yesterday after Boris Johnson urged the public to ‘think twice’ before leaving the house this weekend.

The Health Secretary was filmed carrying a rugby ball in a London park.

In the clip Mr Hancock smiles as a member of the public remarks at how ‘muddy’ he is.

The day before, the Prime Minister told the public: ‘It’s safest to assume you have Covid, s o pl ease, really think twice before l eaving t he house t hi s weekend.’ In a video posted on Twitter, Mr Johnson warned that one in three people with coronavirus does not have any symptoms and are ‘silent spreaders unwittingly infecting others, and that could be you’. He said people should only leave the house if it was ‘absolutely necessary’.

A member of the public who saw Mr Hancock in the park yesterday told MailOnline: ‘I was there at about 3.30 this afternoon... Suddenly I saw Matt Hancock, he was there playing rugby with his son. He walked right up to me... he was covered head to toe in mud.’

Sources close to Mr Hancock said he had been out to exercise and did not break any rules.
