GETTING THERE: NINE PRIORITY GROUPS
Of the nine groups who have priority, almost half the UK’s 3.3m over-80s have had a first jab, a similar proportion of the 420,000 care home residents, and about 1.5m health and social care workers. Vaccinating the rest of care home residents follows. Next up will be those aged 75 to 79 (2.3m), then 70 to 74-year-olds (3.2m), and finally 1.2m aged under 70 who are ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’.
