Our own threat to freedom

Dan Hodges is correct to alert us to the parallels between Trump’s America and Britain today. We need to open our eyes to what is happening in our own country. The Brexit turmoil has been similarly filled with court challenges, conspiracies, and calls for a second referendum. Democracy is no longer as meaningful when it can so easily be resisted.

It already has happened here – what is the difference between Trump’s behaviour at losing the election and the behaviour of many of our own political leaders who refused to accept the result of Brexit, which led to thousands of Remainers converging on Westminster?
