Pubs suffer with ban on takeaway pints

It seems unfair that pubs are banned from selling takeaway alcohol during this current lockdown. Many country pubs have had the rug pulled from under their feet and will not be able to reopen. If the Government were worried about people drinking in public areas, it would seem more appropriate to make it illegal to do it. This would be easier for the police to enforce and the general public would know exactly where we stand.
