Five meals in ‘meagre’ packs GoG Joe!

Unless I have misunderstood, the food packs at the centre of the school-meals row are lunch packs, not main-meal packs.

I am a single parent to two boys. For breakfast they have cereal and toast. Our main meal is substantial and nutritious. Lunch is smaller – eg beans on toast. With a packet of pasta, tomato and carrots, I could make another meal. The ‘meagre package’ shown last week, left, would easily provide five lunches for one of my boys. Name and address supplied

Wednesday’s W inauguration in of President Pr Joe Biden may not have had the usual pomp and ceremony of years gone by, but it was not short on momentum. Biden now begins the task of trying to heal a divided nation. We all wish him well and look forward to a new era in American politics.
