Musa bags a second chance
WEST BROM will look at former Leicester forward Ahmed Musa this week with a view to signing him on a short-term contract.
The 28-year-old is a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr and has been attracting interest from Wolves, Fulham and CSKA Moscow.
However, t he Nigeria captain believes he has ‘unfinished business’ in the Premier League and Sam Allardyce is ready to give him a chance t o prove himself again.
Musa j oined Leicester f r om CSKA f or a cl ub record £16.6million in 2016. Despite an impressive start when he scored a spectacular brace against Barcelona, he drifted out of form. He still managed to star for his country in the 2018 World Cup and was sold to Al
Nassr for £14.5m. There he won t he Saudi Premier League and Saudi Super Cup but l eft by mutual consent in November.
Baggies boss Allardyce wants to bolster his attacking options and believes Musa’s pace and power can help. They have requested a UK visa and he is expected to come in this Wednesday for a medical. If all goes well, Musa will sign until the end of the season.
BRIGHTON are expected to confirm the signing of Moises Caicedo from Independiente del Valle for £5m this week. The Ecuador international was given permission to fly to England last week and has agreed a five-year deal.
QPR have agreed a fee with Fenerbahce for winger Bright OsayiSamuel. The 23-year-old had agreed a pre-contract with the Turkish club anyway, but with a fee of around £750,000 agreed, he will join them this week.
