7M JABS TO FREEDOM
ALMOST eight-and-a-half million people have now been vaccinated in the UK. That’s roughly equal to the number in Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Poland combined. And in the week to last Friday, 2,517,589 Britons got their first dose – a seven-day record. If the Government is to hit its target of vaccinating 15 million by February 15 – the date when experts say it should be safe to start to ease lockdown restrictions – then, dependent on supply, vaccine teams must continue at a similar pace and average 390,000 jabs a day.
