A wheely great role for Sophie

IT’S probably not the role Sophie Simnett, right, had in mind when she started acting: wheelchair driver for Sir Michael Caine. Sophie, 23, plays Nancy in Sky movie Twist, an update on the Dickens classic, alongside Sir Michael, 87, who is Fagin in a wheelchair.

She says: ‘ He didn’t want to get out of it so I wheeled hi m around London. At a coffee shop I was like, “You can get out now Michael,” and he was like, “No, I’m all right”! ’ So that old guy in a wheelchair next to you in Starbucks could have been a Hollywood superstar.
