Puzzled Poms can’t find Oz

-

IT’S extremely big and has a distinctive shape. But astonishingly, nearly half of Brits can’t find Australia on a world map, a study has found.

Asked to pinpoint 196 countries, 46 per cent of those polled failed to locate the land Down Under, despite the fact that it covers 2.9 million square miles.

But the country that caused the most confusion was Indonesia, despite being the world’s largest island country, with 83 per cent having no idea where it was.

France couldn’t be found by a third of those polled by the UK-based global training group The Knowledge Academy.
