A surreal, at times anarchic account of the furore surrounding the Python team’s 1979 film Life Of Brian, as Cleese, Idle and crew prepare to defend their movie in a TV showdown with Malcolm Muggeridge and the Bishop of Southwark. Complete with tasteless jokes, brilliant impersonations and of course random animation sequences. Phil Nichol, Tom Fisher, Charles Edwards, Darren Boyd, Rufus Jones and Steve Punt (right) recreate the Montys’ cerebral and sometimes goofy humour, with more than a little fanboy awe.
