Darcey Bussell’s Wild Coasts Of Scotland

More4, 9pm She dazzled audiences around the world when she was the star of the Royal Ballet and then captivated viewers as a judge on Strictly. Now Dame Darcey Bussell turns travelogue presenter to skip across the spectacular islands to be found off the west coast of Scotland, in part as an homage to her grandfather who spent much of his childhood on remote Bute.

There’s an action-packed itinerary in the opening episode, as Bussell turns her hand to cleaning up a beach, finds out how sea salt is sifted out, and braves the chilly waters for some wild swimming on the Isle of Skye.

And rest assured those celebrated feet are in action as Bussell tries out a spot of Bollywood dancing (right).The mood of breathtaking beauty and warm tradition is broken only by a reminder of Skye’s bloody past.
