Salute to a true hero
I have no shame in admitting that I shed a tear or two when I heard of Captain Sir Tom Moore’s death. For some, the news would have resulted in no more than a shrug of the shoulders but for many it symbolises the passing of an era. An era of honesty, respect and selflessness, when national unity and courage stood up to what even now would seem insurmountable adversity.

Might I suggest that the proposed memorial for Captain Tom be located on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square?
