Poor Lily doesn’t deserve to be bullied
In response to your article last week about actress Lily James, who feels she is the victim of sexist bullying and ‘slut-shaming’ in the wake of her supposed affair with Dominic West, nobody has any idea what actually went on. I couldn’t care less what Lily gets up to in her private life because that’s her business.

Stop blaming the women. If my husband cheats on me, I won’t be stupid enough to blame the woman too. When women cheat on their husbands, you never hear about the other man.

Surely it is West who should carry the greatest burden. And if his wife Catherine FitzGerald has forgiven him, why should anyone else get so angry with Lily?

Of course Lily’s friends are right to contrast the treatment she has received with that of Dominic West, who will be seen as a hero by some. I’m afraid this is just another example of sad people using the anonymity offered by social media to viciously troll others.
