Humiliation for England
ENGLAND were humbled by Scotland at Twickenham as they delivered their worst attacking performance in the Calcutta Cup for 56 years. Eddie Jones’ side scored just six points in the blunt display — their lowest tally since a 3-3 draw in 1965. Some of England’s most dangerous players did not even touch the ball in the first half but head coach Jones insisted all the fault rested with the coaching team.
‘I take the blame for not preparing the team well enough,’ said Jones. ‘We had a big penalty count against us and we only have ourselves to blame for that.’
