MR TRUMP’S lawyers aired nine-minutes of footage showing his Democratic rivals, including Vice-President Kamala Harris, using the word ‘fight’ dozens of times as he successfully battled to clear his name.

The former president accused political enemies of ‘selectively editing’ his words when they accused him of inciting rioters by imploring his supporters to ‘fight like hell’ to overturn the election. A source close to the ex-president’s legal team called the video ‘a masterstroke’ saying: ‘It turned the case around. There is not a single politician on the planet who has not urged their followers to “fight like hell” in support of a cause.’ But Democrats disagreed.

House speaker Nancy Pelosi called Mr Trump ‘ a clear and present danger’.
