PICK OF THE DAY Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway

ITV, 7pm Although there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel, it’s doubtful that we will be going out socialising on Saturday nights for a while yet. And with The Masked Singer ending last week, there is a vacant position for a slice of family telly to lift the nation’s spirits. So step forward everyone’s favourite TV presenters, Ant and Dec (right), who are returning with what ITV likes to call ‘the happiest 90 minutes of the week’.

Although there won’t be a live audience, due to social-distancing rules, there will still be the usual pranks, star guests, competitions and surprises. In tonight’s opening show, Harry and Jamie Redknapp are the victims of I’m A Celebrity Get Out Of Me Ear, while Stephen Mulhern returns with Ant v Dec. Plus, Fleur East is on hand to give one viewer the surprise of their lives, and Gary Barlow takes part in the series’ first End Of The Show Show.
