LOGIC PUZZLE

-

The local leisure centre was having an open day so people could try out some new activities at a discount. Each class took place at a different time and cost a different amount of money to try out. Five friends showed up on the day and decided that they would all try a different class. ‘I’m really looking forward to trying the yoga class,’ said Derek. ‘I think it starts an hour before your class, Francesca?’ ‘That’s right,’ said Francesca. ‘I’m not doing the embroidery class, but that is the cheapest option.’ ‘The pottery class is twice as expensive as the class that I’m taking,’ said Gregory. ‘My class is one of those beginning with the letter P,’ said Henry. ‘But it’s not the first class of the day. It is the most expensive class, however.’ ‘Knitting costs twice as much as yoga,’ said Eleanor, ‘but I’m not doing either of those activities. Two men are taking the two classes in the morning.’

Can you work out who is taking each class, when each class takes place, and how much it will cost?
