Robin Williams shows his versatility, playing a shy neurologist who arrives at a New York mental hospital attempting to cure the great ‘sleeping sickness’. But it was Robert De Niro (above left, with Williams) who received an Oscar nomination for his role as a comatose patient who is ‘reawakened’.
