Man In Room 301

-

BBC4, 9pm & 9.45pm After a fortnight of sun-kissed Inspector Montalbano repeats, the broadcaster has something new for viewers – and it promises to be well worth the wait.

Man In Room 301 is a six-part psychological thriller and is the first series from Finland to appear in BBC4’s coveted Saturday-evening crime slot.

Interestingly, it’s been written by Kate Ashfield, the British actress better known for appearing in Sanditon and Shaun Of The Dead, although she has previous form in the genre, having been one of the brains behind Channel 4’s Born To Kill in 2017.

A chilling story is told across two timelines, with the tragic Kurtti family at the centre of them both. Their lives were left shattered when their two-year-old son was fatally shot. Twelve years later, while holidaying in Greece, they spot someone they believe was the killer... Antti Virmavirta and Kreeta Salminen (right) head the cast.
