Warning over funds
SOME of the country’s biggest investment funds are dogged by wretched performance – and are providing poor value for money.
According to research published this weekend by Bestinvest – part of wealth manager Tilney – 15 £1 billion investment funds have consistently underperformed the stock markets they aim to beat over each of the last three calendar years – and over the three-year period as a whole.
These underachievers include high profile funds such as Invesco UK Equity High income and UK Equity Income – although both are now under new management. Copies of the full report are available at: bestinvest.co.uk/spot-the-dog
