The Wachowskis’ blockbusting sci-fi franchise began with this stunning action thriller. Keanu Reeves (above) plays a computer hacker who joins forces with a group of rebels to free the human race from malevolent living machines. Two sequels followed in quick succession, with a third due for release this December.
