Vicar Of Dibley: Inside Out

Last year, creator Richard Curtis and star Dawn French (right centre) returned to Dibley for several bite-sized lockdown episodes of the much-loved sitcom. Frankly, they were a bit of a disappointment, but there’s a chance to relive moments from the show’s heyday as GOLD broadcasts backto-back classic editions throughout the day.

There is, however, a two-hour break at 9pm for a special programme in which French describes the massive impact playing Geraldine Granger had on her life and career. Curtis is also on hand to explain what inspired him to write about a female vicar and how he came up with the village’s other eccentric characters.

Finally, celebrity fans including Joanna Lumley, Hugh Bonneville and Kylie Minogue (who famously guest-starred in an episode) discuss what makes the comedy so special to them.
