● COMEDIAN Katherine Ryan admits she is too close to her 11-year-old ‘sisterly’ daughter Violet, who has been snooping on her mum’s phone messages and misinterpreting them as sex texts!

One, sent t o her husband Bobby while he was in the study upstairs and she was in the kitchen, read: ‘When Violet falls asleep, I’ll come upstairs and we’ll do it.’ Violet read the text – and promptly burst into tears.

Katherine, left, whose invitation had been eagerly accepted by Bobby – Violet’s stepdad – was referring to recording a podcast in the study. Katherine said: ‘It’s disgusting when your guardians have sex. We don’t even have sex at night. But I did have to discipline Violet for purposely snooping – I expect a level of trust.’

Katherine, 37, entered into a civil partnership with her on-off childhood sweetheart Bobby Kootstra in 2019 and has written a hit Netflix series based on her unusual family life.
